James joined the Sutton Trust as Data Analyst and Insights Manager in September 2021. He is responsible for leading the analysis of the Sutton Trust’s programmes, as well as supporting its evaluation work. James also carries out secondary data analysis in contribution to the Trust’s programme of policy-focused research.
Prior to joining the Trust, James worked as a Senior Statistician at the National Centre for Social Research. In this role he worked on a wide range of social surveys, including the British Social Attitudes Survey and the Student Income and Expenditure Study. He also has first-hand experience of the Higher Education sector, having previously taught at the LSE.
